- Conversion service for Microsoft® Office files and PDF documents
- With the new conversion service, PDF documents can be converted to the highest possible PDF/A variant (starting from PDF/A-3a) in order to meet the requirements of VDI 2770, for example.
- Microsoft® Office files (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) can be converted to PDF files. The Office file is retained and automatically linked to the PDF variant to enable consistent metadata recognition.
- In VDI 2770 scenarios, the requirements of the standard regarding format variants are automatically implemented. For example, the original file and the PDF/A format variant are packed into a common document container and the existing metadata is linked.
- This function is a chargeable option for plusmeta Enterprise customers. In plusmeta Global this function is already included.
- Improved text recognition (OCR)
- OCR is a technology that enables text recognition in files that do not contain searchable text. These are often scanned documents.
- Text recognition (OCR) in plusmeta now uses a new service that provides better results.
- The new service also supports image objects (e.g. PNG, JPG) in addition to PDF documents.
- This function is a chargeable option for plusmeta Enterprise customers. In plusmeta Global this function is already included.

- Better detection of incomplete uploads of objects.
- Several adjustments to tooltips and interface texts provide better usability.
- The sorting function in table views has been adjusted so that sorting can only be done on the basis of meaningful columns.
Bug
- Fixed the incorrect preview of thumbnails.
- Fixed a caching issue that occurred when uploading to the Empolis Service Express® content delivery portal in special cases.
- An error that occurred when assigning objects from already existing projects has been fixed.
- Projects can now again be sorted in the Projects view according to the number of objects they contain.
