- New Edition: plusmeta Select
- With plusmeta Select, service providers or plant operators can provide their customers with additional plusmeta environments for the generation of VDI 2770 packages. The special Select licence model considers the number of environments used and offers an attractive entry-level price.
- Thanks to a simplified interface and the reduction of the scope of functions to the relevant features, VDI 2770 package creation is particularly easy.
- The Select workflow combines the interface of the VDI 2770 Open Toolkit with the advantages of the plusmeta interface. In addition, plusmeta Select offers further comfort functions: Recurring metadata can be saved. The function “Assign metadata to multiple objects” facilitates manual metadata assignment. Non-standard PDF versions are converted to PDF/A in no time at all.
- Companies who want to offer plusmeta Select will receive comprehensive onboarding for setting up and configuring Select environments as part of a Select training course.
- Auto extractors
- In order to extract product information from documents quickly and easily, plusmeta can now create extractors automatically.
- If the project setting is activated, an extractor is automatically created for newly created metadata with the data types
plus:Number,plus:String,plus:Timestamporplus:LongTextas soon as they are activated for automatic recognition. - A unit can be specified via a new attribute (
plus:unit). The unit is used as extraction criterion next to the metadata field name.
- AI explanation for the Extractor assignment method.
- In the AI Explanation dialogue in the tiles of the metadata heatmap and in the Metadata Manager in the view “Check and assign metadata”, detailed information on the assignment methods “Extractor” and “Auto-Extractor” can now be viewed.
- The dialogue shows in orange which passages of the text contents match the extraction criteria. Highlighted in yellow are the strings that were used as search criteria.
- Display iiRDS Directory Nodes.
- Directories from iiRDS packages (Directoy Nodes) can now be displayed in the Check and assign metadata view.
- A drop-down menu can be used to switch between different directories if there are multiple directories.
- The directories show the hierarchical arrangement of the objects and can be used for navigation. When clicking on a directory level, only objects that are assigned to this level are displayed.
- Project groups
- To make it easier to work with many projects, projects can now be sorted into groups.
- Project groups can be recreated and assigned when creating and working in project.
- A field for submitting the project group is available in the dialogue when creating a project or in the Project settings dialogue in the cogwheel menu at the top left in Projects.
- The view “Current projects” in the workflows view as well as the projects view can be filtered with project groups.
- Setting options for the output of the object identification during VDI 2770 package generation.
- How the object identification information is written into VDI 2770 packages can now be controlled even more specifically by project settings.
- With the project setting ‘Referenced object with all metadata in main document’, operators can ensure that all relevant details for the one referenced object in the project are output in the main document.
- With the project setting ‘Referenced object unique in document container’, component manufacturers can ensure that only one referenced object at a time is kept in the document containers in multiplied-out VDI 2770 packages.
Enterprise & Global
- SAP IEP Interface - Multiple Models per Document
- With the new version of plusmeta, multiple models can now be assigned per document and transferred to the SAP IEP Business Network for Asset Collaboration (BNAC).
- Previously, only one model was uploaded per object.
- Now multiple models can be assigned per object, even independently of equipment.
- Deep Learning and Large Language Models.
- Global and Enterprise customers have the option of testing Large Language Models as an experimental allocation method. Both Llama 2 (in plusmeta Cloud) and GPT-3.5-Turbo (via OpenAI API) are available.
- Large Language Models can be used in plusmeta e.g. for a definition-based classification of content. Further use cases can be developed in joint projects.

- The STImport file that is created as a result of the ST4 Content Preparation workflow is now comprehensively validated. The validation result is output as a message in plusmeta. In the event of errors, a log file is generated instead of the STImport file with information on how to rectify the error.
- In the Check and assign metadata view, objects can now not only be removed from the project, but also deleted completely.
- In the similarity analysis, the object name is now taken into account in addition to the title and text content of documents, content modules and fragments.
- Metadata fields of the data type

Fehler
- A display error that led to empty title and language fields in certain workflows has been fixed.
- VDI 2770 metadata temporarily output as an array is now output in the correct data format again.
- Line break for long AutoIDs in QR code view.
- Caching issues that occurred for certain types of configuration objects no longer occur. Performance has been significantly improved by the bug fixes.
