New
- New User Interface
- The plusmeta user interface has been completely redesigned. It is more modern, more consistent, and responds more quickly.
- For a transitional period, users can switch between the new and previous interfaces using a toggle in the menu bar.
- A major redesign is planned for the Properties and Management views. Until completion, they will continue to open in the previous interface.
- The new interface is also available in a light color scheme. This setting can be toggled via a switch in the More menu. The dark scheme is the default, regardless of the browser settings.
- New Home page with Projects and Workflows
- The home page, or Workflows view, has been fundamentally redesigned and offers faster access to new and existing projects.
- As before, the “Projects” section displays a selection of recently edited projects. The “Workflows” section shows the available workflows that can be used as a basis for creating new projects.
- A mouse-over effect clarifies which action will be performed when you click on a tile. In the “Projects” section, a pencil icon appears for editing an existing project. In the “Workflows” section, a plus sign appears for creating a new project.
- The “My Workflows” section has been removed. The favorites feature for workflows has been discontinued. Project favorites can now be grouped under the “Favorites” project group.
- A search field now allows you to search all projects in the Projects view. A button lets you switch directly to the full Projects view.
- In the “Projects” section, the default sort order remains “Last Edited.” You can switch to alphabetical sort via the More menu. Shared and closed projects can be shown or hidden as usual.
- By default, “Workflows” are sorted by frequency of use, so frequently used workflows are easy to find even without being marked as favorites. You can switch to alphabetical sorting via the More menu. Additionally, unused workflows can be hidden.
- Project Groups as Tabs in the Workflows View
- Project groups allow you to group projects by topic.
- Project groups are now visible directly as tabs on the home page. Previously, this feature was only accessible via a gear menu.
- With many projects, this makes it quick to switch to a specific group. Returning to frequently used projects becomes significantly easier.
- Each tab displays the number of projects it contains. Empty groups are automatically hidden.
- When creating a project, you can now specify a project group. Superusers can create new project groups as usual in the Properties view.
- Expanded SharePoint Integration
- Within a project, content from multiple SharePoint folders can now be synchronized; to do this, multiple links can be specified or imported from a file.
- Import and export via SharePoint are now also available in additional workflows.
- A template for filters or views is now required for SharePoint export (see below). This template is included in the export.
- Import and export display progress and provide clear error messages.
- New Workflow: Create AASX Submodels
- A new workflow is available for creating Asset Administration Shells (AAS) in AASX format. Users with the appropriate permissions can generate multiple AASX submodels in a single workflow.
- In the project settings, you can select which submodels to create: Handover Documentation, Intelligent Information for Use, Digital Nameplate, and Technical Data.
- The workflow generates a ZIP file containing the corresponding AASX files.
- Configurable Filter and View Presets
- Filter presets and view presets can now be created, named, and configured for specific organizations directly within the plusmeta platform as objects. Previously, these presets were statically stored in the backend and could only be customized by developers.
- Filter presets control which metadata is filtered and output during export (e.g., CSV export, SharePoint).
- View presets define the structure and presentation of exports, e.g., when generating checklists for documentation packages or during SharePoint exports.
- Both preset types are managed as standalone objects with a UUID and a freely selectable name in the Object View.
- Existing presets were migrated as part of the rollout.
- Enhancements to the “Compile Documentation” Workflow
- Building on the checklist logic introduced in the last release, the workflow has been further developed in several areas.
- In the assignment step, you can now set a filter preset that determines which conditions all checklist entries must meet.
- The gear menu now includes the new option “Approve Assignments on current page,” which allows you to approve all assignments on a page at once.
- In the “Set checklist filter” step, you can now save a filter preset to specifically narrow the search scope, e.g., to certain language combinations.
- The file and folder path for documents in the export ZIP file is now configurable; for example, you can use a folder structure organized by document type instead of a flat list.
- Table of Contents PDF:
- The table of contents can be grouped and sorted by metadata through configuration. Groups are sorted alphabetically.
- The project name is used as the document title.
- The footer displays the organization name and page number.
- The date is displayed based on the language.
- The accent color is determined by the organization’s branding settings.
- Large Language Models
- Obsolete and discontinued models have been removed.
- Claude Sonnet 4.5 is available and is used as the new default model.
- plusmeta now features even more robust AI processing. If an AI service is temporarily overloaded, the request is automatically resubmitted. Meanwhile, a message informs the user that a retry is in progress.

New Features in the Upload Workflow to Quano’s InfoTwin
- The workflow step for synchronizing metadata from the InfoTwin is now optional and can be skipped.
- VDI-2770 packages can now be transferred to the InfoTwin as a new format.
- The 1 GB limit per upload package is now also indicated in the interface by a corresponding message.
Other
- plusmeta supports DITA XML files and Markdown files as new formats. A basic file analysis is performed for these file formats; a preview is available, and metadata can be assigned to the files.
- Manual mapping has been simplified for VDI 2770 generation based on digital twins. The drop-down list for mapping digital twins to documents now displays only the digital twins from the currently active project.
- During Excel mapping, plusmeta issues a warning for options without an assignment. The warning specifies the name of the configuration. If multiple objects are found with the same identifier, the warning lists the affected objects.
- In the “Upload to Empolis Service Express” workflow, you can now specify the target environment and an ESE data source identifier for the iiRDS export in the project settings.
- CSV export of the maintenance table is now UTF-8 encoded with BOM. This ensures that umlauts and special characters also appear correctly in Excel.
- The option to store a profile picture per user has been removed.
- The plusmeta user portal is now also available in English.
- The company name and legal notice have been updated to Quanos Solutions GmbH.
Bug
- When importing PDFs, the token limit and word count are now correctly taken into account.
- VDI-2770 workflows and checks have been stabilized: Submitted documentation containers are processed correctly, Excel imports work without recurring error messages, and validation messages are consistent.
- Composite metadata no longer generates empty or duplicate values.
- Metadata detection for SharePoint documents no longer terminates with an error.
- Navigation through directories in projects now works correctly again. The navigation arrows are displayed correctly during iiRDS generation.
- LLM-based metadata detection now correctly handles empty results. Queries in plusmeta Insights no longer get stuck in an infinite loop.
- The role of a metadata item is no longer altered when using a workflow.
- The properties export once again contains correct information about the configuration objects used.
- In the “Compile Documentation” workflow, object mapping searches all pages, and metadata detection is available immediately after startup.
- Clicking on a metadata field in a checklist entry now triggers only the expected action.
- When creating and linking Digital Twins from Excel, names are no longer displayed twice.
